Hello to all. Dear Gail, I am sorry for the uncalculated loss of such a great man as your husband was. I can say he was great because he saw himself as a bondservant of the Lord instead of someone of notoriety.
I also apologize for not speaking with you before now. I did try to contact you and many others when I first heard, but to no avail. Though brother Mike has, truly, opened his eyes for the first time to see the face of Jesus Christ, and the wonders of heaven, he is still missed here on earth with great remorse. My heart does hurt due to his loss, and I hurt for you, the children, the grand-children, and the rest of family, and friends. I, also, sorrow for the time lost we could have shared in visitation. Though I thought of him often, my thoughts would alway end with... someday we will sit down and share about the things of Father like we use to do. But for now, we wait for the time when we will no longer see through a glass darkly.
Regrettably, I could not attend the Memorial service. I am out of vacation and had to go to work. But my thoughts and prayers were with you, even as they are now. The things I could share about Brother Mike are seemingly endless. Like the time at the farm when he played Buck Weaser with his little bag of salvation in the remake of "Lets make a deal". Monty Lucifer, and Carol Barrel were unable to cheat him out of his gift. I will say that the poise of a warm hearted grin, and the slight chuckle accompanied by a head nod due to being amused, will forever be etched in my heart and mind. His wisdom, knowledge, and love for God, family and friends will not be forgotten! If you could send me an e-mail address, or (and) phone number, I would appreciate it. Carmen, and Shea-Shea, and myself send our love and prayer out to all. May the Father strengthen you by His might and comfort you in the days ahead.

I have never been to a funeral in my life where soooo many good things were told about someone. I never got to spend alot of time with Michael but after hearing all the wonderful things said about him i left sad that i never knew him. What an awesome testimony to have everyone stand up and say that you openly lived for the Lord. I love you Gail and will be praying for you. All i can say after hearing everyones stories is what an Amazing man.

Michael taught me to seek my path of the Lord. He didn't want you depended upon another for your path. It's our destination to find our message from the Lord. Our purpose in this world is not to judge one another, it's to provide support of each other. This world is tough! Bottom line, no one gets out without some scares. It's not our job to decide who has the toughest life. Who is making good or bad decision for themselves; our job is simple: to love. Love your neighbor as yourself. There are a number of people more than willing to tear you down; to be honest, we generally tear ourselves down more than anyone else can. We need to show our love for one another. There's a child's song about showing your light to the world; well, our light is God's love.

In my life I have never known anyone like Michael Dies. He was unique. The words he spoke were true. They were from knowing God. He wouldn’t be called a preacher, he finally admitted to being a teacher, and that’s what he did. And he did it better than anyone I know. I brought a friend to Bible-study one night and she told me that when he was talking she wanted to hold her breath so she wouldn’t miss anything he said. I am privileged to have known Michael Dies. He was my brother. I will miss him. Love to Gail, Chris, Keith, Jason, and Jamie. Love, Connie.

We were just kids out playing in an unmowed front yard
Sticks were our rifles and old wheels were our cars
We'd chase lightning bugs when the daylight was gone
Back when life was so easy and summers were long
He was my closest brother and my dearest best friend
And I never considered a world without him. My heart aches but I have peace... I miss you Mike, your brother Kirby

Sweetest Gail,I am so sorry for your pain. It's been 25 yrs since I last saw you and Michael. You both have always remained in my thoughts and my heart.I never told you or Michael how much you mean to me.I was 17 and to young to understand what you both were teaching me at the time. But the love and care you both shared with me has always remained in my garden of life. The seeds of yours and Michaels testimonies have grown in me and I have continued to share with my children.I always admired yours and Michaels love and commitment to one another. You both are very dear to me and I love you very much.Thank you,for being apart of my life at such a young and imprecsionable time.My prayer is that God will protect you and send you His peace.I hope that I will be half the person you and Michael are.I know that you both were sent here to lead and guide us in the Lords direction.I will never forget Michaels smile and his laugh.Michael will be deeply missed.Love and Jesus peace to you Gail. Sincerely,Teresa Davis

I thank God every day that I was raised by Micheal Dies. He was a man above men. A vessel chosen by God to light a dark world. My own experience with the Lord would not be what it is if not for my Dad. He was my best friend and the best teacher I could ever have. I know he's home with God but that does not make the pain any less. Daddy I Love you and I miss you so much. Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I know your still going to be with us pop on our fishing trips. I Love you Pop

We will treasure the times that we spent in Michael and Gail's home. Michael was a man that would always make you feel special. His love for the Lord radiated out of him like the sun that shines on a bright fall morning. Michael is in a much better place and although our hearts are breaking we must hold fast to the truth in God's word, we will see him again one day. Michael was one of God's servants and we were blessed to know him. We were even greater blessed that he allowed his son to marry our daughter Amanda. I can see so much of Michael in Keith. Keith loved his dad and it showed. We will sadly miss him but joyfully be awaiting the day in which we will see him agian in God's kingdom. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Gail and everyone of the Children along with all the brothers and sisters, and those precious grandchildren.

Michael was my best friend. I miss him deeply, but in my heart I know he is where every child of God longs to be. This pain shall pass, but the memories we treasure will always be there. The memory of the just is belssed. Proverbs 10:7

For the past few days, I keep hearing the same things from everyone who knew Michael, "He was a great man," or "He was the best person I ever met." Sometimes when someone passes away, it's easier to just remember the good parts about them, but with Michael, it was all good. He was such a kind, patient, and wise man, it was hard not to be a better person after being around him. I'll always remember his laughter (which is pretty easy because he was always doing it) and his big heart- he was the type of person who loved everyone, especially his family. I know his friends and family will miss him greatly, but I'm just thankful for the time I got to share with him.

I always remember Michael's smile and laugh. He had one of the best hearts that I have seen on a man. We would always share a laugh about the infamous line "Everything is not alright." He is loved and will be missed dearly.

Mike was always there for me. Any time I needed him, he was just a phone call away (and I called so many times). He has been such a large part of my life ever since I was 10 years old. I will miss him so much. Every time I see his sons and daughter, I see him. Jason said something that has stayed with me. "It was an honor to be his son." It was an honor for me to have known him. I love you, Gail, with all my heart.

No one will ever have a better father or friend, Dad was my fishing buddy and the person I called when ever I had a question or problem with anything whether it be spiritual or personal. I loved my father very much and I thank God for all the precious years that I was allowed to call him Dad and freind. I don't mourn mostly for those that knew my father but for all those who never had the chance to know him. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers
