Obituary of Retta Anne Wood

Retta Anne Wood, of Brush Creek TN passed away on November 18, 2014 at age 73. The Memorial Service is 2 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home. The family will be accepting friends from 1 p.m. until the service. Mrs. Wood was born October 28, 1941 in Tompkinsville KY. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a graduate of Western Kentucky Nursing School and valedictorian of her class. Known to many as "Granny Annie", she was able to take care of countless patients and guide her peers throughout her thirty-five year nursing career. She is survived by children: Victoria (Brian) Marger and Thomas (Chappel) Wood; five grandchildren; siblings: Larry Thomas "Tommy" Welch, Sandra Richard, and Robert "Bobby" Welch; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by loving husband Cyrus Geoffrey Wood.
