Jon and Marion were an important part of a share group we started when our kids were young and we were all part of Andrew Price United Methodist Church.
I had not seen Jon or Marion since the early days but will always remember then. They were both true Christians and a lovely couple. They will be missed my many. I remember too, the terrible tragedy when their son passed as a result of some dogs attacking him. They are resting in Heaven now. Carl Clark

Laura, Christy, Marianne and Matthew, Words cannot describe the sadness I feel for the entire family. I have known you all for 24 years and my heart breaks for you. No matter how things look right now, know that God is still in control of your lives. Stay in peace, and believe that He will always be with you in all directions. Love to you all, Terri and Nicky Setzer

Thank you both for bringing Joy and Christ's Love into our lives.
We will miss Jon's teaching, and Marian's warm compassionate greetings.

It is so hard to believe that it has been 50 years since I served in the US Army with Jon at Fort Lawton, Washington near Seattle. Jon and Marion were more than colleagues, they were true friends. All 8 of the army lieutenants and their wives, who served there together, had our first babies at the Army Hospital on post. Laura was born about the same time as my son John. The true man that Jon was can be recalled in one incident in particular. My car was parked in a bus stop in downtown Seattle, and it was 2:00 AM when I called Jon waking him up. Naturally, Jon said he'd be right there, and sure enough, he came with money so I could get my car out of hock, for it had been towed away. A small example, perhaps, but those who got to know the Setzers in later years will not be surprised. John and Marion lived their lives for the Lord, and now they take their rightful places at the eternal table of the Lord. May they rest in peace. I will never forget them.

What a blessing is has been to count Marion and Jon friends. I have never seen two people more devoted to the Lord and to each other. I am so grateful to have known them and Marion in particular made impacts on my life. We were closest friends when Jon Jon was born a few days before my son Matt. They played together along with Eric Speich and we spent time together enjoying the boys. My thoughts when I heard Marion had passed: that is exactly what she would have wanted - to go on with Jon. Then: what a glorious reunion with Jon Jon. Our thoughts and prayers are with you children and grandchildren. Laura my heart breaks for you at this time. Siblings, support your sister and make sure she can go on with her life in the way the Lord would want her to. What an opportunity she has to be an inspiration to others after some of the hurt is gone. I love you all as I loved Marion and Jon. Jodie Clemons
