We have just heard about Bob's passing and are so sorry! We admired and appreciated him so much during the years we were at first Baptist together. He and Eloise showed their love for The Lord and his church and people always. They were so loving to everyone. Bob was Kerry's Sunday School teacher and he taught him so much. We know Heaven is brighter and look forward to being reunited with him again.

As childhood friends, Bob and I were almost inseparable. We adventured together, roamed the hills picking berries, hunting rabbits. swam in every hole in Hurricane WV creek including those with snakes all about when the water was high, muddy or not. My Dad had a boat on Kanawha River which we used to fish from, at times in the backwaters full of gars. On many occasions we would row out far into the middle to ride the waves from the sternwheeler or sidewheeler steamboats. Oh, the joys of that childhood. The Turner family lived across the street from mine so It wasn"t just Bob who had a great influence on me. I was always welcome in their home and ate many a bowl of navy beans with them following the giving of thanks by Dewey. As Bob and I hiked about the land he shared Scripture with me from what he was taught by his folks. Bob was always a strong believer and teacher. I could write a book about the Turners and how they affected my life. I knew them all well because as an only child early on, they made me part of themselves.
