Obituary of Donald Ray Mitchell

Don Mitchell passed away on October 6, 2012 at age 73. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon (at Stone Mansion, 416 Rome Pike) from 2-8 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012. The Funeral Service is 3 p.m. Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Immanuel Baptist Church (214 Castle Heights Ave) with visitation from 2 p.m. until the service. Interment in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Wade and Cale Mitchell, Mike Johnson, Danny Johnson, Greg Barrett, Patrick Stoecker, Jeff Cox, and Rodney Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Trammel, Bobby Lax, Wayne Drennon, Raymond Hankins, and Roy Spann. Survivors include wife Shirley Johnson Mitchell; children: Donette (Bill) Petty and Tim (Dorie) Mitchell; grandchildren: Dwayne (Kim) Garcia, Wade Mitchell, Cale Mitchell, and Kelsi Petty; and great-grandchildren: Hayden Watts, Kristen Garcia, and Madasyn Garcia. He is preceded in death by parents Ernest and Sarah Spann Mitchell, sisters Wylene Harmon, Louise Williams, and Margaret McDonald, brothers Jerry, Robert, Edward, and Gene Mitchell, and granddaughter Erica Petty.
