Arif was such a special friend to me and I will miss him so much at work. He and I had a special friendship that in today's world is so hard to find. He was such a big kidder with me and he always referred to me as the Ol Great One in a joking way, due to work problems that would crop up. This teasing and his friendly smile, along with his kindness, will be what I miss the most. Tabitha and Victoria, my heart goes out to you both as you endure these difficult times. He loved you both so much. Good memories will get you through. May God Bless the Siddiqi family.

Tabatha, I am so so sorry for your loss. But it is our loss too. I went to school with Arif in Kuwait and he was one of my closest friends, especially towards graduation. We hung out after school and he was always the one with the dry humor that no one quite seemed to get until they thought about it a little bit. He was a little crazy, which is what attracted him to us and he was always someone we could count on. Yesterday, I googled his name, hoping to hook up with him on Facebook, and found his obituary instead. I cannot imagine how difficult this must me for you and your family and I sincerely hope that you can find the strength to deal with this colossal loss. Shaikh

Dear Tabitha,
Arif and I went to school together in Kuwait, has various adventures in Kuwait and became best friends towards the end of high school. We kept in touch for a while (he was studying at Tennessee tech) and would get together when he would come back on vacation. We were teenagers and always up to no good ....but it was fun. However with time we grew apart and lost touch....It was indeed very sad news to hear about his passing; may God give you the patience to accept this loss and the strength to carry on. He will always be with us in our memories, you will see him when your children smile and one day will meet him again. I know we dont know each other but if you ever want to hear some of our stories in Kuwait - give me a call on 441334461010.

I still come across things I think of sharing with him but then have to remind myself that I can't. Unfortunately I cannot remember the brother he was before the TN. disaffection. His problems brought him down before many new memories could be made so I miss the potential more than the actual man.
I hope that if there is an afterlife he is happy with his son and his father, two losses he never recovered from.
