Obituary of Ruth Howe Morrison

Ruth Howe Morrison, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, went to rest with our Lord on Monday, January 16, 2012. Mrs. Morrison was born on July 13, 1922 to Abram and Eunice Howe in Tuners Falls, Massachusetts. She married Rev. Dr. Richard Henry Morrison on February 22, 1950. Together they served as pastor and wife to several churches throughout New England, and raised two children. Mrs. Morrison was a member of the Baptist faith. She was employed as both a secretary and homemaker. During her spare time she enjoyed participating in Bible study, playing canasta with friends, reading, and penning short stories. Mrs. Morrison was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant son, Paul. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Howe, of Massachusetts; daughter, Linda and husband, James, of New Jersey; son, David and wife, Patricia, of Tennessee; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Richard Norwood of Massachusetts at Jones, Rich, and Hutchins Funeral Home in Portland, ME.
