Obituary of Bobby Lester Harmon

Bobby Lester Harmon, age 76, of Lebanon, TN. died Feb. 29th in Ft Pierce, Fl. He retired as Chief of Law Enforcement of the Tn. Wildlife Resources Agency in 1999 after 35 years of service. Bob leaves a legacy of dedicating his life to the enjoyment of wildlife for himself and others and building strong family relations. He was a 1959 graduate of Harriman High School having been the captain of the 58-59 undefeated Blue Devils football team. His favorite retirement pastimes were golfing, hunting, fishing, and drinking coffee with his friends at various Lebanon establishments. Mr. Harmon was preceded in death by his Mother, Lillie Mae and Father, John William Harmon. Four sisters and three brothers also preceded his death. He is survived by his wife of 54+ years, Martha Ellis Harmon; Son: John William Harmon(wife,Ana) John's children, Emily, Abigail, and Josiah. Son: Eric Mathew Harmon(wife, Cara) and their children, Calvin and Carli. One surviving sister, Sue Harmon Bell. A memorial service will be conducted at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon, Tn. on March 19th. Visitation 1:00-3:00 pm. Memorial Service 3:00pm. In memory of his life and in lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or your favorite charity.
