I met Jerry on the first day of first grade at Dodson Chapel elementary. He was the tallest and I was the shortest in our class. We were quite a pair next to each other. Over the years we became good friends. Just this week we shared face book messages. I am very saddened by his passing. I know he had a strong faith in God and I look forward to seeing him in heaven. He will be missed. Condolences to all of his family, I'm sorry for your loss. I know he was a great example for you.
Sincerely,
Eddie Eakes

Jerry was a good friend for many years. I first met Jerry through his brother Billy who was also a close friend of mine. I talked on the phone with Jerry just a couple of weeks ago. He called me to chat while he was out walking his dog for his morning exercise which he had done on many occasions before. Jerry was his usual self in good spirit so I was truly shocked to hear of his sudden passing. Jerry will be missed greatly. I offer my deepest sympathy to his family. He was a big man with a big smile and an even bigger heart. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again.

I was in High School with Jerry. Later I would see him from time to time. To be with Jerry was always to laugh and smile. I send my deepest sympathy to Jeremy and Jeff and all of the family. My son, Ashley Mofield always had a great time with Jeremy and Jeff. Later in life my daughter April Mofield McKinney worked in the same medical facility with Jeremy. She thinks so highly of Jeremy. I had the pleasure to meet Jerry shortly after he moved to this part of KY Lake. He came to my taxidermy shop for a marine electronics seminar and walked into the place like he had always known all of us.He was so quick to holler at his crappie fishing buddies whether on the lake or in town. He attended our Crappie.com KY get together a couple of weeks ago and was his same smiling, friendly self. We knew him mostly by his screen name BIGDUDE. We were so sad and shocked when we heard the news of his passing. He made a lot of friends in his time here and will be missed.
Our prayers are with your family at this time.
