Obituary of Elsie Lucille Hoskins

ELSIE LUCILLE HOSKINS, age 81, of the Green Valley Community in Macon County passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2011. Funeral services for Elsie Lucille Hoskins were conducted on Wednesday, October 26, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Gammon officiating. Interment followed in the Drury Cemetery. Serving as Active Pallbearers were; Troy Harrison, Terry Wayne Rollin, Cody Estell, Tiger Hoskins, Dusty Rollin, C.J. Taylor, Michael Taylor. Elsie Lucille Frye Hoskins was born on December 23, 1929 in Lafayette, Tennessee to the late Floyd and Cora Etta Shrum Frye. She was one of nine siblings born to this union. She went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2011 at the age of 81years and ten months. Elsie was married to the love of her life Windell Hoskins on March 1, 1948, who survives. To this union was born six children, two boys and four girls; Johnny Randall and Lynn Hoskins of Lafayette, Terry and Dejuana Hoskins of Hermitage, TN, Carolyn Hoskins, Linda and Bill Mitchell of Bethpage, TN, Lisa Hoskins and Gary Brown of Moss, TN, and Teresa and Terry Rollin of Westmoreland, 14 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Brother, Billy and Edna Mae Frye of Westmoreland, TN, and Sisters, Bonnie Mays of Erlington, KY and Ruthie and Edward Taylor of Westmoreland, TN also survives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; daughter, Carolyn Ann Hoskins, granddaughter, Amanda Mae Rollin, great-grandson, Andrew Oakley England, and great-granddaughter, Kenna Nicole England, brothers, Tubb Frye, Bobby Frye, Hillis Frye, and Delmar Frye, sister, Betty Jones. By Granny's testimony, she was saved by the Grace of God as a young woman. Granny's wish to all who knew her was to get prepared to meet her in heaven one day. Granny always enjoyed taking care of their home, and helping Pa Wink on the farm. Granny stayed busy taking care of their kids, raising gardens, and growing her beautiful flowers. Piecing quilts was granny's favorite past time. She enjoyed stitching every stitch into her quilts and every stitch came from her heart. Our family gatherings over the years always brought enjoyment to Granny. She never wanted the fancy things in life because her family meant more to her than what money could buy. Granny will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew and loved her. Each visit with Granny, She always got the last kiss and hug from each child and grandchild, and to you Granny from everyone who loves you, "This is our last Kiss Goodbye.
