Obituary of Harold Claiborne Patterson

MR. HAROLD C. PATTERSON - age 74 of Nashville and formerly of Lafayette passed away on Tuesday morning, November 8, 2011 at the Vanco Manor Rehab Facility in Goodlettsville. Graveside services for Mr. Harold Patterson were conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Anderson and Son Memorial Park. Associates Financial Services Retirees served as Honorary Pallbearers. Paul Patterson, Frank Law, Will Anderson, Brandi Evans, Joshua Ingram, Andrew Templeton, Darrell Taylor, and Billy King served as Active Pallbearers. Interment followed. Harold was born on August 30, 1937 in Lafayette, Tennessee to the late Paul Marion and Mary Irene Barton Patterson. He was one of four siblings born to this union. On November 8, 2011 at the age of 74, Red departed this world. Red married the love of his life, the former Charlote Ann Taylor on August 22, 1959, sharing fifty-two years together. They were blessed with two children, Linda and Paul who he loved dearly. Besides his parents; one sister, Joyce Gale Freeman recently preceded him in death. Red worked for Associates Financial Services for fifteen years. He then purchased his own garage and machine shop, working the next thirty- five years on automobiles. Red was a good automobile technician and knew an automobile from the inside out. He decided in August of 1996 to retire. Red had a farm that he worked on and he also had several head of cattle. Raising his cattle was what Red enjoyed most. Genealogy was something Red could spend his day researching and was a proud member of the Historic Society. Red loved his wife and children, and was a very proud grandpa. He will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved him. Harold is survived by; Wife, Charlotte Patterson of Nashville, Daughter, Linda Carol Evans of Goodlettsville, Son, Paul Alan Patterson of the Pleasant Shade Community, Grandchildren, Joshua Alan Ingram of GA, Brandi Marie Evans Goodlettsville, Heather Lee Evans of Johnson City, Kimberly Dawn Evans, and Joe Ronald Evans, II both of Goodlettsville, Brothers, Ronald Marion (Jo) Patterson, and Daniel "Danny" (Donna) Patterson all of Lafayette, Aunt, Clovis Barton Ramsey of Lafayette, several nieces and nephews, also survive.
