Otto Wheeley was one of the most inspirational people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. His enthusiasm, positive attitude and overwhelming desire to help others was contagious. My most sincere condolences to Kathleen and the rest of his family as they mourn the loss of this wonderful man.

Kathleen - Lynn and I are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. I miss seeing you and will miss Otto and will forever treaure the many hours we spent together. Know that we love you and that we will always treasure our all too brief relationship. Otto was truly a loyal and faithful servant of Jesus even in the most difficult circumstances.

Otto Wheeley left a legacy in his wonderful family and the impact he had on the lives of so many. He was a man ahead of his time when it came to his vision for empowering technology. The University of Tennessee is proud that he is one of our graduates and that he was recognized as The Volunteer of the Year in 2005. He will be missed.

Otto was such a friend and inspiration to me to invest in East TN in the 1990ies. He was a giant of a man. I last saw him when he came for dinner at my home to see the late Carl Sublett, a college friend. I send prayers to the family and gratitude for having known Otto.
