One of my fondest childhood memories was going to visit Mammy Haley, Aunt Mary and Uncle Calvin at their home in Lafayette. It was such a treat to see all of the unique things in their house and to play with their wild outdoor kittens. Aunt Mary had an endearing smile and she was a perfect example of a Godly woman. I know that she is in a much better place and will cherish many memories of her.

What a tremendous lady my Dear Aunt Mary was. So thoughtful, so dedicated, so kind. I am sad, but will always remember the happy times visiting each year as I was growing up.
She is probably the strongest woman I have ever known. God speed to you Dear Lady! I am honored to be named after you.

Aunt Mary was a beautiful lady that had endured a lot of hardships [losing her two children and husband], but she always managed a smile for her friends and family.
For many years she would send birthday cards to her nieces and nephews.
She lived a very thrifty lifestyle and I had asked her several times to find a friend , take a trip , and do something for yourself , but she never did and when the dreaded disease came along it was too late.
