Obituary of Alice Frances Carr

Alice Frances Herald Carr was born in Macon County, Tennessee, on August 1, 1915 to the late Willie and Eller Jenkins Herald. She was one of seven siblings born to this union. As a young lady, Alice was married to Kenneth Herod Carr. They shared many wonderful years together and raised one son, Randall. Alice was a homemaker, but was always found busy working on the farm with Kenneth. On March 12, 1995, Kenneth preceded her in death. Besides her husband and parents; brothers, Carlton, Delton, Clifton, and Graham Herald, and sisters, Lois Stone, and Gertie Frazier also preceded Alice in death. When Alice was able, crocheting and listening to the radio was her favorite past time. Alice was a member of New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church. On Friday, December 14, 2012, she left this world for a better place, "Heaven". She will be greatly missed by her son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all her many friends, but our loss is Heaven's gain. Funeral services for Frances Carr were conducted Sunday, December 16th, at 2 pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Jeff Blackwell officiating. Allen Young, Mike Prock, Bill Carr, Tracy Carr, Larry Herald, Stevie Smith, Austin Smith, and Dylan Smith served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Green Grove Cemetery. Frances is survived by, Son and Daughter-in-law, Randall Carr and wife Bonnie of the Pleasant Valley Community, Grandchildren, Chrissy Smith and husband Stevie of the Westside Community, Tracy Carr and wife Nicki of Cookeville, and Great grandchildren, Austin and Dylan Smith of the Westside Community, Hayden Carr of Cookeville, also survives.
