Obituary of Betty Veatch Fox
Betty Sue Veatch Fox was born in Jackson County, Tennessee on June 5, 1946 to the late Jack Veatch and Versie Mae Bilbrey Veatch. She was one of twelve siblings born to this union.
Besides Betty's parents; seven brothers, William, John, Garrett, Clarence, Charles, James, and Billy Joe Veatch also preceded her in death.
Betty has two daughters by a previous marriage. Her children and grandchildren were the joy in Betty's life.
She was employed by Parker Seals Mold for several years.
History fascinated Betty; she was like a sponge absorbing all the information she could. Betty loved to go with her daughters visiting Historical Places and discussing the history of each place.
Betty loved the poem, "Footprints in the Sand" and it fit her life, she never met a stranger and loved everyone. She tried to help carry the burdens of everyone she knew.
She was a member of Glory Way Missionary Baptist Church.
On Sunday, March 17, 2013, the Lord called her to Heaven. Betty will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
Funeral Services for Betty were conducted from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 20, at 2 p.m. with Brother Don Veatch officiating. Jason Veatch, Bobby Sullivan, Paul Sullivan, Ronnie Veatch, James Cousin, and Jimmy McCall served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Clark Cemetery.
She is survived by; Daughters and Son-in-law, Cynthia Fox, and Kirstie (Christopher) Tubb all of Lebanon, TN, Brothers and Sister-in-law, Benton (Sue) Veatch of Westmoreland, TN, and Jack Veatch of Kentucky, Sisters and Brother-in-law, Ida (Glen) McCall and Nellie Sullivan both of Lafayette, TN, Grandchildren, Courtney Fox, Bryan Dickens, and Christina Tubb, Great grandchild, Braylen Olinger, and several nephews, and nieces, also survive.
