I am so sad to hear of the passing of Mr. Doss. I was a teacher at Fairlane Elementary from 1977-1985 when he was the principal. He was such a sweet, caring man with a gentle spirit. I feel lucky to have worked with (and learn from) such a gentleman. There aren't many around like him anymore. My thoughts and prayers go to his family. Belinda Goodwin

Kenneth Doss was one of my best friends and one of the finest people I ever knew. He was superintendent of Macon County schools . He was principal of Lafayette Elementary School for 20 years. He was a man of his word > I remember when he professed religion. Well done old friend.

It is with regret I learn of the passing of Mr. Doss. He was
the principal at the old Lafayette Elementary school when I was
in the 5th - 7th grades. He was a very positive influence while I
was in school. He was one of a kind and will be missed.
