Obituary of Dorris Ann Sullivan

Dorris Ann Robertson Sullivan was born in Hartsville, Tennessee on October 25, 1940 to the late Edgar Robertson and Christine Linville Robertson. Besides her parents; son, Howell B. Sullivan, Jr. and grandson, Jedidiah Sullivan also preceded Dorris in death. On August 10, 1957, Dorris was married to Howell B. Sullivan, Sr. They shared fifty-five beautiful years together and raised two sons, Frankie and Howell. Dorris was mainly a homemaker, but did work for a few years at Hartsville Boot Company and then Osh-Gosh B-gosh for a short time. For a time, she lived in Gallatin and cared for her ailing mother. She enjoyed spending her extra time reading a good book. Dorris also liked to write about things in her life and what she had encountered. At the age of 18, Dorris was saved at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church. On July 25, 2013, the Lord called Dorris to her new home. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that will be missed deeply. Funeral services for Dorris Sullivan were conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Watson officiating. Eddie Sullivan, James Sullivan, David Sullivan, Timmy Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan, and Jimmy Pedigo served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Green Grove Cemetery. Dorris is survived by; Husband, Howell B. Sullivan, Sr., Son, Frankie Dale Sullivan, Grandson, Jordan Dale all of the Fairview Community in Macon County, TN, and granddaughters, Ashley, Twila, Misty, and Jody also survives.
