Obituary of Anna Beulah Jenkins
Anna Beulah Jenkins was born on March 3, 1913 to the late John Wesley Lawrence and Anna Bertha Crowder Lawrence. On May 22, 1932, she married the love of her life, Golden Jenkins. This union was blessed with four children. They shared fifty-three years together before his passing in 1985.
Beulah was a very hard -working woman. She was a homemaker and also worked on the farm. When she wasn't working around the house, you could find her knitting or sewing. She also loved arts and crafts. In her later years, she enjoyed playing cards and board games.
Most importantly, she was saved by the grace of God at an early age and united with Brattontown Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a member. Mrs. Beulah was a good Christian woman. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. On Friday, August 23, 2013, at the age of 100, the Lord called her home. She will certainly be missed by all that knew and loved her, but we find comfort in knowing that she has gone on to her eternal home of peace and happiness. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter June Watson Freeman, son-in-law, Hollis Shrum, six brothers and three sisters. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday August 25, 2013 from the chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home with Rev. Golden Jenkins and Rev. Chip Jenkins officiating. Interment followed in the Haysville Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ronnie Shrum, Shane Jenkins, Eric Smith, Greg Smith, Derek Jenkins, Glen Watson, and Tony Watson.
