Obituary of Olene Wix

Olene Wix was born in Macon County, Tennessee on July 15, 1945 to the late James Samuel Wix and Ether Owen Barber Wix. She was one of nine siblings born to this union. Besides her parents; sons, Frankie Doyle Hix, and Randy D. Hix, grandchild, Clinton Derrick Wix, and brothers, James Albert Wix, Harlan Wayne Wix, Clifford Gene Wix, and Forrest Lee Wix also preceded Olene in death. Olene was previously married and had seven children and one step-child. Loving and caring for children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, was what Olenes' life was all about. She worked for Lafayette Manufacturing for several years as night security. Olene was a Christian that loved the Lord and she belonged to Highland General Baptist Church. On September 9, 2013, the Lord called Olene to her new home. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends. Funeral services for Olene Wix were conducted Thursday, September 12 at 2 pm from the Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Wix and Reverend Harold King officiating. Interment followed in the Highland Cemetery in Scottsville, Kentucky. Olene is survived by; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Lisa (Andy) Bright of Green Castle, Indiana, Annette Hix of Willette, TN, Tandra (Randall) Hauskin of the Wixtown Community, and Joy Hauskins of the Annie Hollow Community, Son and Daughter-in-law, Shannon (Mellissa) Hix of the Saltlick Creek Community, Step-Daughter, Lisa Randolph of the Annie Hollow Community, Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Dorothy (Tony) Acres of Highland, KY, Pauline (Jessie) Patterson of the Wixtown Community, Josephine Thompson, and Fannie Rollin both of the Highland Community in Kentucky, twenty-seven Grandchildren and twenty-four Great-Grandchildren, also survive.
