Obituary of Dennis Lane Stinson

Dennis Lane Stinson was born in Macon County, Tennessee on December 21, 1952 to Calcie Marie Mahaney Stinson and the late Elder Melvin Delaine Stinson. He was previously married and leaves behind one son, Darren and three step-sons, Josh, Justin, and Ryan. Dennis built homes in the surrounding area, working as a self-employed contractor for most of his life. Leisure time for him was spent outside hunting and fishing. He loved to go on hunting trips with his friends. Dennis had acquired many deer, turkey, and fish trophies during the years passed. He always wore a smile and most of the time had something funny to say. Dennis was Missionary Baptist. On September 15, 2013, at the age of 60, Dennis left this world for his new home. Ms. Calcie, the family, and many friends will sorely miss him. Funeral services for Dennis Stinson will be conducted Tuesday, September 17th at 3 pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Anthony Hale and Elder Morgan Davis officiating. Gerald Shockley, Darrel Emberton, Barry McDuffee, Dickie Clark, Tony Brooks, and Mike Freeze served as Pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Rough Hill Cemetery. Dennis is survived by, Son, Darren Stinson of Lafayette, TN, Step-Sons, Josh Flashner, Justin Flashner, and Ryan Flashner, Mother, Calcie Stinson of Lafayette, TN, Brother, Jimmy (Janis) Stinson and wife Janis of the Red Hill Community in Kentucky, Sister, Mary Lou (Ronnie) Witcher of Lafayette, TN, Special Friend and Caregiver, Anna Stinson of the Underwood Community, Step-Grandchildren, Conner and Loudon Flashner.
