Obituary of Joyce Ford Cravens

Joyce Ann Ford Cravens was born in Macon County, Tennessee on March 29, 1959 to the late Otis Ray Haddock and Shelby Jene Ford Cothron. On July 4, 2001, Joyce was married to James Danial Cravens, Sr., he survives. Besides her parents; brothers, James Ray Ford and Harold Dean Cothron, and sister, Deloris "Tino" Mosley also preceded her in death. She has one son, James and one daughter, Ruby, and two step-children, Kimberly, and Derek, that she cherished very much. Joyce enjoyed staying at home and caring for her children and grandchildren. Joyce did work for five years at Mueller Brass. She was always busy doing something. Joyce enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and fixing hair. Whenever time allowed, she loved being on a boat fishing with family and friends. Joyce loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing games with them. She attended the Church of God. On September 18, 2013, the Lord called Joyce home. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Funeral services for Joyce Cravens will be conducted Saturday, September 21st. at 1 pm from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Reverend Landy Presley officiating. Interment will follow in the Lafayette City Cemetery. Joyce is survived by; Husband, James Cravens, Sr. of Lafayette, TN, Daughter, Ruby (Adam) Smith of Lafayette, TN, Son, James Daniel (Alesha L.) Cravens, Jr. of Columbus, IN, Step-Children, Kimberly Danielle (Derek) Redman of North Carolina, and Derek Cravens of Orlando, FL, Sister, Michelle (Pat) Wix of Lafayette, TN, Grandchildren, Brooklyn Michelle Cravens of Columbus, IN, Trevor and Tylor Whittemore, Mandy, Indyana, and Isacc Smith, and Brooklyn and Monny Mosley all of Lafayette, TN, Farrah Redman and Brhylin Redman of North Carolina.
