Obituary of Julia Ballou
Julia Inez Ballou was born in Lafayette, Tennessee on February 25, 1921 to Tandy Aaron Linville known as "T.A." and Lallie Cox Linville.
On October 8, 1938, Inez was married to J. D. Ballou, sharing 37 years together. They raised three sons, Bobby, Mickey, and Keith. J. D. passed away on March 3, 1976.
Besides her husband and parents; brother, Cortez Linville, and sister, Vitez Linville Carmon also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Inez was a seamstress working many years for Kingsboro Mills which was later known as Form-Fit Rogers. In 1935, she was saved and joined Meadorville Missionary Baptist Church. Inez or Little Ma, as most people referred to her, loved her family; loved to cook; enjoyed good music; and attending church when she was able. She had many people that touched her life, and Little Ma touched many lives. She enjoyed life and being around good people. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
On September 22, 2013, at the age of 92, the Lord called Inez to her heavenly home. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Inez Ballou were conducted Wednesday at 11 AM from the Chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Elder Jeff Blackwell officiating. Chris Ballou, Lance Spivey, Greg Ballou, Chad Shoulders, Tyler Gann, and Stacy Gann served as Pallbearers. Interment followed in the Macon County Memorial Gardens.
Inez was survived by; Sons, Bobby (Doris) Ballou, Mickey (Beverly) Ballou, and Keith (Sherril) Ballou all of Lafayette, TN, Grandchildren, Chris (Denise) Ballou, Julie (Lance) Spivey, Angie (Chad) Shoulders all of Lafayette, TN, Amy Ballou of Atlanta, Heather (Stacy) Gann, Greg (Heather) Ballou, and Phoebe Burrow all of Lafayette, TN, and Great-Grandchildren, Mary Anne Ballou, Rebecca Leigh Ballou, Morgan Spivey, Mason Spivey, Allyson Shoulders, Abby Shoulders, Tyler Gann, Tanner Gann, Trey Gann, Kelton Ballou, and Kadence Ballou.
