Obituary of Martha Virginia Guinn Ford

Martha Virginia Ford was born on September 8, 1927 to the late Reggie Guinn and Georgie Katherine Meador Guinn in Macon County, Tennessee. She was one of five siblings. She was married to J. F. Ford and together they shared a wonderful life, until his passing on March 9, 1994. Besides her husband and parents; sisters, Roxie Guinn and Clara Gammon, brother, J.R. Guinn, nephew, Terry Edward Estes, and Niece, Kandra Lee Griggs also preceded her in death. Martha was a stay at home mom, who loved caring for her daughter, Mary, and babysitting for her friends. She was a member of Lafayette Church of Christ. Martha went to The Palace Care and Rehab several years ago, when her health began to fail her. She was a joy to be around, always having something funny to say. Everyone there loved her. Martha enjoyed taking part in the activities at The Palace and playing Bingo with her friends. On Monday, October 14, 2013, she left this world for a better place. Martha will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Funeral services for Martha Ford were conducted Thursday at 11 am from the Alexander Funeral Home with Jerry Mercer officiating. Interment followed in the Meador Cemetery. Martha is survived by; Daughter, Mary Ford of Lafayette, TN, Sister, Hazel (Randall) Sliger of Lafayette, TN, Nephews, Travis Sliger of Lafayette, TN, Troy Gammon of Jamestown, Tony Gammon of Cookeville, TN, Ricky Guinn, Niece, Margaret (Bill) Patterson of Lafayette, TN, a host of Friends and extended family also survive.
