Diane Green

Obituary of Diane Kay Green

Diane Kay Green was born on December 2, 1957 to the late Edward Lee Asbury and Mildred Lewis Asbury. She was one of nine siblings. Besides her parents; one brother, Lee Asbury, also preceded Diane in death. A simple cup of coffee started a romance between Diane and Roger Dale Green; then on December 23, 1978 they married. They shared thirty-four wonderful years together. Diane and Roger enjoyed going places together and being with their family. Between mine, his and ours, they shared nine children, Anthony, Aaron, Misty, Christy, Dana, Roger, Leanne, Candy and Cindy. Diane was a stay at home mom, who loved being at home with her children. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and tending to her flowers. Diane liked going to yard sales, looking for angels and videos to add to her collections. She attended Happy Hollow Church in Indiana. When Diane moved to Lafayette, she started visiting Haysville Missionary Baptist Church and Spring Creek Missionary Church. On October 25, 2013 at a prayer meeting in her home, Diane was saved. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend to us all. We loved her so much and wish that we had more time together. On Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the age of 55, Diane went to meet our Heavenly Father. We will cherish all of the great memories that we have. She will be missed by all and her memory will live in us all forever. Funeral services for Diane Green were conducted Saturday at 11 am from the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Jimmy Thompson officiating.
