Obituary of Kenneth Winfield Powell
POWELL, Kenneth Winfield, age 71 of Hendersonville, passed away April 2, 2019. Mr. Powell was preceded in death by parents, Felix and Nell Powell. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Donna Powell; sons, Kenny (DeAnna) Powell and Keith (Angela) Powell; grandchildren, Daylen, Kennedy, Kaleb, Karlee, Janiah and Kaden; Sisters, Patsy Duffer and Kathy (Houston) Turney; mother-in-law, Margie (Gene) Foster; brother-in-laws, James (Vickie) Burgett, Terry Pinkerton, Chip Pinkerton and Shane Pinkerton; sister-in-law, Debi Minchey; caregiver, Maria Watkins and a host of friends and family.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 5th at 2 pm from the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Hendersonville with Pastor Wayne Bess officiating. Entombment will follow the service at the Spring Hill Cemetery with Blake Burgett, Ryan Burgett, Daylen Powell, Kaleb Powell, Kaden Powell, Randy Bailey, Chip Pinkerton, Daryle Wright, Timothy Hall and Terry Pinkerton serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Bill and Brenda Bailey, Wanda Pipkins, Annette Sanders, David Taylor, Dr. John Baites, Nurse Frankie and classmates of East High 1967. Visitation with the family will begin Thursday, April 4th from 4-8 pm and Friday, April 5th from 12 pm until time of service.
