Obituary of Robert Hix

Robert Hix, age 85 of Gallatin, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019.  Funeral Service will be Friday, May 3^rd at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Doyle Farris and Bro. Brian Jarrett officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday, May 2^nd from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, May 3^rd from 2:00 until time of service at 4:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Sumner Memorial Gardens, with Michael Larkin, Daniel Adams, Austin Adams, Roy Bruce, James Cole, and Ray Carter serving as pallbearers.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels Program, Hartsville Pike Church of Christ, 744 Hartsville Pike, Gallatin, TN  37066.

Mr. Hix was born March 10, 1934 in Gallatin to the late Charlie Hix and Maude Bohanan Suttle.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Martha Ann Larkin; and son-in-law, David Adams.  He is survived by wife of 65 years, Willene Hix of Gallatin; son, Rob Hix, Jr. (Jackie) of King George, VA; daughter, Ruth Lynn Adams of Nashville; sister, Fannie Sue Parker of Indianapolis, IN; 6 grandchildren, Michael Larkin (Rachel), Daniel Adams (Triniti), Austin Adams (Laura), Laura Adams, Noah Hix, and Daniel Hix; and 5 great grandchildren, Aiden Ozment, Emma Adams, Hank Adams, Henley Adams, and Quinn Adams.  Mr. Hix worked for Eaton Corp. for 17 years.  He retired from PIAS Credit Union after 30 years of service.  Mr. Hix was a member of Hartsville Pike Church of Christ since 1955, serving as deacon and treasurer.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
