Obituary of Gregory "Greg" Whittington, Jr.

Gregory “Greg” Whittington, Jr., age 51 of Castalian Springs, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019.  Funeral Service will be Thursday, June 6^th at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Pastor Roy Shockley officiating.  Visitation will be Wednesday, June 5^th, 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 6^th from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service at Beech Cemetery, with Clay Covington, Terry Whittington, Wesley Whittington, Jeff Starnes, James Denton, and Ronnie Thompson serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Whittington was born April 16, 1968 in Nashville.  He is survived by wife of 30 years, Angela Denton Whittington; parents, Gregory L. Whittington, Sr. and Joyce Batts Whittington of Gallatin; daughters, Courtney Whittington (Clay Covington) of Gallatin and Caitlyn Whittington of Gallatin; son, Corbin Whittington of Castalian Springs; brothers, Terry Whittington (Melinda Lewallen) of Gallatin and Wesley Whittington (Tracy Smith) of Portland; sister, Stacey Starnes (Jeff) of Gallatin; 7 grandchildren, Kelton Fitts, Kyan Fitts, Kenzley Fitts, Kingston Baldwin, Emery Baldwin, Rowan Covington, and Hudson Covington.  Mr. Whittington was owner of “Straightline Roofing” for 28 years.  Online condolences may be submitted at familyheritagefh.com.  Family Heritage Funeral Home has been honored with arrangements.
