Obituary of Jim Strasser

Ernest Strasser, age 80, passed away on January 5, 2020 at Quality Care Center in Lebanon. The Celebration of Life, conducted by Reverend George Wallace and Reverend Todd Lackey, is from 3 p.m. until the service at 5 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2020 at New Life Ministries (402 East Forrest Ave), Lebanon TN. Ernest James Strasser was born August 3, 1939 in Durham OR to the late Ernest R. and Virginia Mae McKenley Strasser. He was an only child. Mr. Strasser had many vocations and occupations in his lifetime. In Oregon, he was a logger, worked as an off-shore driller, a television tech, a printer, drove for a limo service, and owned a gas station. Mr. Strasser was a harmonica player, a carpenter, a plumber, and founder of the original Walk N Taco. Mr. Strasser is survived by his wife of 28 years Lorene Sellars Strasser, son Greg Sellars, grandchildren Lori Hicks, Angel Hicks, Christopher Sellars, Jonathon Sellars, and Ashley Sellars, and great-grandchildren Cameron and Kaylee Sellars, Braylon Osborn, Kylan Davis, Coleton Gobel, and Mya Worley. He is preceded in death by parents Ernest R. and Virginia Mae McKenley Strasser, daughters Paula Anderson and Pamela Sellars, and son Jeff Sellars. The family extends their special thanks to Dr. McKinney, Tracy Moss, Quality Care nurses and rehab staff, nurse Kelly King, tech Thelma Perry, his faithful visitor Bernice Gipson, church décor planner Bonnie Norris, adopted son Doug Holten, and Pastor George Wallace and all of the New Life Ministries church family.
