Obituary of Neil Ward Jenkins, Sr

Neil Ward Jenkins, Sr. age 80 of Gallatin, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, November 3rd at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Family Heritage Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Peace officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 3rd from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow the service at Crestview Memory Gardens. Mr. Jenkins was born January 22, 1940 in Lafayette to the late Ben Hooper Jenkins and Mattie Pauline Barton Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister, Judy Greer. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pauline Sims Jenkins of Gallatin; daughter, Monica Palmer (Frank) of Westmoreland; son, Neil Jenkins, Jr. of Gallatin; and brothers, James Jenkins (Georgia), Bennie Jenkins (Sue) of Atlanta, GA, and Mike Jenkins (Cindy) of Lafayette. Mr. Jenkins served our country in the United States Navy from 1959 until 1963. He retired from the Sumner County Sheriff’s Department after over 20 years of service.
