Rest in peace uncle Hershel you will be missed

Hershel Butts was one of the best friends I have ever had. He has helped me in more ways than I can count. He was always telling me that if I needed something or some help, he was there. I made many trips with him to get the fresh vegetables from the Amish people to sell on the veggie wagon at his house. He called me from his hospital bed on Tuesday the 7th and told me he was in there and why he was there. We had a long talk and he sounded like he was improving and I'm sure he felt like he was. It was such a shock to hear that this ugly virus did not give Uncle Hershel any fighting chance to make it through. I will never forget Hershel and all the good times we shared. I don't know how I will fill the void in my life now that he is gone. He was a friend to everybody and would never mistreat anybody, for he could not do such a thing. Uncle Hershel will be sorely missed around the town of Gladeville and elsewhere, and as time goes by it will be even more so. He knew about everybody and was known by almost everybody. It is so hard to believe that this has happened, and the effects of Uncle Hershel's passing will be felt by so many for a very long time. His memory will be with us forever.
