Such a wonderful lady! She will be missed. She always shared her snickers and candy, and was sure to tell if you where doing a good job or not and how to improve. A lovely soul has gone on

We worked together at the City of Portland. She was fun, no nonsense and knowledgeable. We got along very well. I saw then how she struggled with her health. We kept in touch over the years but had no idea she was that sick. I will miss our long conversations. She is now in Heaven with mom and dad and creating mischief.

One Friday night 44 years ago in Nashville i met this curly haired lady reddish in color, we were attending a National Restaurant conference. We became instant friends. Now my Mary lou has entered heaven's doors. She hqs no pain, needs no care, money, trips to doctors etc. She is free from all of earth's desires and wants. May the mending of issues on earth be the memorial for Marylou. God be with this family as the days ahead will be vacant of Maylou's presence but memories will sustain us until we see her again. Love in Christ. Leslie and Glenda McCracken-Orfordville, WI.

Mary Lou was a wonderful friend that I could count on to listen to me and to share empathy and advice when needed. I will miss our weekly talks. She valued loyalty and caring for others and showed it in the care of her parents, even when she didn't feel like it. She was one of a kind. I miss her so much.

My deepest condolences in the passing of Mary Lou. I will, forever, be grateful for the way the Thompson family welcomed Ernest (Duward), Lyn, and me into their family. From the first minute I met them, it was if if we had always been a part of this exceptional group of people. LuLu especially, because of her nature to be like her Mother, continued to reach out and include us with family memories and history.
I know she is the center of attention in a Heavenly get-together with all who loved her and were waiting with open arms. Now, I shall miss her calls, smiling voice, and opportunity to do those planned travels.
Rest well sweet one. You blessed our lives and left us with many wonderful memories.
