Obituary of Billy Simons
Billy Ray Simons, age 78 of Castalian Springs, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 9th at Sellars Family Heritage, Westmoreland, with Bro. Billy Traughber officiating. Visitation will be Monday, May 8th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Sellars Family Heritage, in Westmoreland and Tuesday, May 9th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Westmoreland. Interment will follow the service at Eulia Cemetery, with Riley Leath, Dustin Simons, Freddie Gregory, Jeff Wix, Richard “Red” Westmoreland, Dylan Amos, Jeff Leath, and Bobby Farley serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Cliburn, Buddy Hunter, and James Johnson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dementia Society of America, P.O. Mr. Simons was born January 13, 1945 in Sumner County to the late Herman Simons and Lillian Adcock Simons. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Garland Simons, Marvin Simons, Doug Simons, Bobby Simons, Ernest “Doc” Simons, and Randell Simons; and sisters, Susie Hall, Ethelene Akins, and Lillian Graves. He is survived by wife of 27 years, Debbie Shrum of Castalian Springs; son, Kevin Ray Simons (Shelly) of Westmoreland; daughter, Tangi Leath (Jackie) of Bethpage; grandchildren, Dustin Ray Simons (Courtani), Lexi Amos (Dylan), and Riley Leath; and great grandchildren, Kierra Simons, Chole Simons, Danielle Simons, Isaiah Simons, Braxten Amos, and Rhett Amos.
