Obituary of Terry Dean Climer

Terry Dean Climer, age 60, died at home on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011. Mr. Climer, who grew up in Lebanon, Tenn., was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Willette Climer, and his eldest brother, Don Climer. He is survived by his brother, David (Rebecca) Climer of Nashville; sister-in-law, Dottie Climer of Lebanon; two nephews, Chris Climer of Nashville and Toby (Megan) Climer of Lebanon; two great nephews, Chase and Reese Climer of Lebanon; and a number of family and friends. Mr. Climer graduated from Lebanon High School in 1969 and later received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Kentucky University. Mr. Climer began his career at WCOR radio station in Lebanon. He worked in the television industry in Los Angeles and Nashville. Mr. Climer was a dog lover, cared deeply for his family and friends, and was a fan of the Hilltoppers sports teams from his alma mater, Western Kentucky. A reception in his memory will be held at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 3:30-5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society of Wilson County or Western Kentucky University.
