Obituary of Carl William Rogers

Dr. C. William "Bill" Rogers, of Lebanon, passed away on February 1, 2015 at age 83. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. The Graveside Service will be private. He was born on June 6, 1931 to the late Ed and Lottie Rogers in Chattanooga, TN. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, on his birthday in 1955. Following his graduation, he served the country as a member of the U.S. Navy Medical team. He served as Director of Radiology at Nashville Metropolitan General Hospital, McFarland Hospital and University Medical Center in Lebanon. He was a prolific writer, with publications in various medical journals and magazines. He was a compassionate administrator with progressive achievement in Radiology, research, teaching, publications, and speaking. Dr. Rogers is preceded in death by his parents and sons Carl and Jeffery Rogers, and Christopher Marin. He is survived by his wife Terry Medlin Rogers, sons Steven, Chris (Carla) Rogers, and daughter Laura (Randy) Coker, grandchildren Kayla, Brittany, Lauren and Sarah Rogers, Thomas Marin, Rachel Cromer, and Addison Coker.
