Obituary of James Henry DeMain

DEMAIN, James H., passed away on February 6, 2014 at the age of 81. Jim attended public schools in Youngstown, OH achieving both scholastic and athletic honors. He earned a football scholarship to Vanderbilt University and upon graduation served in the Army and was stationed in Germany for two years. After military service he returned to college to work on a Master's Degree. This is when he met the love of his life, Marge, who he married in 1957. They have two children, Jim and Bill, who reside in Nashville and have achieved success in their business ventures. Jim worked for a major pharmaceutical company in New Jersey. He started as a salesman, and ended his career as a VP of Marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa which resulted in travel all over the world. Upon retirement Jim and his family enjoyed many trips together in the States as well as overseas. He also enjoyed golf, spectator sports, various hobbies and most of all his family. Jim and Marge moved to the Nashville, TN area in 2010 to be near to their sons and daughter-in-law. He fought a long, hard battle with cancer the last 2 � years of his life. Mr. DeMain was preceded in death by his parents, James & Mae DeMain. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret DeMain; and sons, James (Jeanette) DeMain and William DeMain. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, February 9th from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet. Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 9th at 1:30 pm.
