Obituary of Jerry Orchanian

WILSON COUNTY ORCHANIAN, Jerry A., age 61 of Mt. Juliet, passed away October 4, 2008. Mr. Orchanian was the Warning Coordination Meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Middle Tennessee. He has worked in the Nashville area for about 14 years training storm spotters across Middle Tennessee and making weather safety presentations to prepare citizens and local officials for severe weather. Mr. Orchanian was preceded in death by parents, Manase and Rose Orchanian. He is survived by wife of 26 years, Patricia Orchanian; brothers, John (June) Orchanian and Leroy (Gina) Orchanian; and sister, Grace (Jack) Karian. Funeral services for Mr. Orchanian will be held Wednesday, October 8th at 11am at Victory Baptist Church, Mt. Juliet, TN with Bro. Chuck Groover officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Mr. Orchanian's co-workers at the NOAA-National Weather Service. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, October 7th from 5 - 8 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
