June 12th 1970 My Dad (Steve, sr) was serving in the US Air Force in Vietnam. My Mom (Bertha), who was pregnant with me and my sister (Barbara) were staying with Shirley when I was born. Shirley gave me the first roof over my head and no doubt comforted my Mother and 3 1/2 year old Sister during those trying and sometimes scary times of absence from my Dad. This world was a better place for our family because of Shirley Lawrence and I will always be grateful for the love she showed our family. My heart-felt condolences to all.
