I've thought about Gene a lot over the years, and just did a Google search. Finding his obituary was not what I hoped for. Gene was a mentor and a friend. We golfed and bowled together in the PI, and, of course, he taught me to shoot skeet. While in the Air Force I was stationed with Gene in the Philippines where we met, and again in Colorado Springs. All these years later Gene is still a positive influence on me. God rest his soul, and bless his family and loved ones.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Gene's passing. I will always cherish the great times we shared on the golf courses and at our Breakfast Club discussing sports. Gene was a great friend to many and will be missed by all. He left us with a treasure chest full of fond memories that will live on. My prayers are with Marie and the Pigue Family that God grants them the strength to endure the loss of a loved one. God Bless.

Dear Marie and family,
I am so sorry.
Gene did so much for so many and was a good man...I'll always remember the bounce in each step and the smile on his face. He will be missed. Love,
