Obituary of Gerald Gene Pigue

WILSON COUNTY PIGUE, Gene, of Mt. Juliet passed away September 11, 2009 at the age of 77. Mr. Pigue was a member of the Mt. Juliet Church of Christ. He was a World Champion Skeet Shooter and Minutemen Bass Fisherman of the Year. He was an avid golfer and Red Sox fan. He received accolades for rescuing a drowning victim. Mr. Pigue served in the US Air Force for 23 years and was a retired State of TN employee. Mr. Pigue was preceded in death by parents, Charles Blythe & Beth Trout Pigue. He is survived by wife of 56 years, Marie Pigue; children, Jennifer (Paul) Hargis, Kelly (Tim) Hindsley, and Martin Ray Pigue; sister, Mary Beth (Travis) Taylor; and 5 grandchildren. Funeral service for Mr. Pigue will be Monday, September 14th at 1pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. David Shannon officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with Travis Taylor, Brent Monesmith, David Glissen, Harold Maddox, Jobe Eakes, John Stallworth, and Wayne Williamson serving as pallbearers.
