I knew Eddie as a nursing student and watched him grow to Supervisor of Operating Room at the old St Thomas Hospital. After he became a sale person with an Orthopedic firm I only had occasional contact with Eddie. I am very sorry too hear of his passing. My sympathy to his family.

I have known Eddie for nearly 24 years. I first met him in 1990 when I was just a young twenty-something starting out in the Orthopedic business. I had heard so many rumors, tales and legends from competitors about him that I didn't know what to expect. He loved to tease newbies. And he was very good at catching them off guard. I ended up working as a competitor alongside Eddie at Baptist Hospital for the next 15 years. And what a blessing it was! Underneath all that assertive and joking behavior was a hard-working, god-fearing man who truly loved his family, his friends and others. He might joke and prank, but deep down he truly cared for others and would do anything to help to help those in need. Eddie helped and supported me in more ways than you can imagine. (and we were competitors!) He would say, "I'm after your business and I know you're after mine, but as long as we both stay honest and remember to put the care of the patient first, the rest will take care of itself." And that's just what we did. God blessed us both. We both made a good living for many years. Eddie became my mentor and one of my closest friends. All of us at Baptist OR became one big family. Eddie and I co-sponsored the annual Christmas parties for several years in a row. And if there was someone in need, I would let him know or he would let me know and we would quietly take care of it. There is no telling how many people that Eddie helped anonymously over the years. He did it quietly out of love. And funny... He should have been on the tonight show. I could write a book on all his funny sayings, it would be a best seller. The poor x-ray techs and new reps that he teased. I will miss you my friend!!! Thanks for everything. I know that you are now driving that big Allegro Bus in the sky and entertaining everyone in heaven. May God keep you in his loving arms till we meet again. God Bless.

I've knew Eddie as a student nurse. He was at St.Thomas and I was across the street at Baptist. When he as O.R. Director at St. Thomas I held the same position at Parkview. Through the years we would bump into one another at the hospital. He was a really good person and my sympathies go to his family.
God Bless and Eddie may you rest in peace.
