Obituary of Edward Glenn Simms

Eddie Simms, age 74, passed away on December 23, 2013. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and on Friday from 11 a.m. until the service. The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Todd Elliott, is 1 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2013. Interment in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville TN. Pallbearers: Ronnie Bell, Clay Faircloth, Steele Yancy, Bobby Meadows, Robert Wood, John Long, Carlos Shannon, and David Simms Jr. Honorary Pallbearers: Dave Davidson, Max Harper, and Mid-Tenn Sam's, and the 1963 St. Thomas Nursing Class. Special Thanks to the staff at St. Thomas West. Mr. Simms, a veteran of the United States Army, had a career in nursing, and retired from orthopedic sales after 40 years. He is survived by wife Kathy Simms; children: Glenda (Brian) Newberry and Joe (Jenny) Simms; sisters: Doris (Roy) Faircloth and Barbara Nicholson; and grandchildren: Jenna Simms, Jamie Simms, Morgan Newberry, and Madison Newberry. He is preceded in death by parents Edward and Eloise Jakes Simms, sister Beverly Bell, and brother David Simms Sr.
