I was very sad to learn of the passing of Ernest. Ernest zest and spirit for life were a fond part of my memories of Ernest during our days as room mates, friends and fraternity brothers as Ole Miss. A great road trip to Florida to visit his sister and my first time to see Disney World, many road trips to Memphis and the "Rendevous", and some fun times cheering on the Rebs. I am blessed to have known Ernest. My sincere prayers to all his family.

I was so sorry to hear of Ernest's passing. What happy memories many of us at Eli Lilly have of Ernest! He was such a gifted salesman. We all admired him. God bless you and grant you the peace that only He can give during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear about Ernest . Ernest roomed with myself and Tommy Yeager while at Ole Miss. I have very fond memories of Ernest and his always cheerful personality .We were fraternity brothers and shared many good memories together . He will be missed by many. Ernest was absolutely one of my favorite people during my time with Lilly (it didn't hurt that he was a fellow Ole Miss Rebel!). Simply the kind of person that was always calm, cool, and very willing to help us newer guys and girls learn the ropes. My deepest sympathy to all family members. I am a fraternity brother from 1974. Ernest took me under his wing as a freshman, and was so good to me during our years together. I will always fondly remember Ernest, be thankful that he touched my life, and know that he was a very good man. Rest in Peace Brother.

I only met E once...and once was enough to see that you two were a match! How fortunate that you two had such a special bond and even though the time was not a long as you both thought it would be...it was time that you will never forget. He was so proud of you! He showed me the things that you had done in your home and he was smiling ear to ear. He was very proud of you! I know that both of you fought very hard in this battle and he had the warrior Lori on his side. You were an awesome wife that did everything you could possibly do to help your husband. What a blessing you were to each other.
