Obituary of Elbert Parisher
Al Parisher passed away on May 17, 2010 at age 68. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010 and from 11 a.m. until service on Friday. The chapel service, conducted by Brother Kevin Medlin and Brother Curt Mitchell, is 12 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2010. Interment with full military honors in the Nashville National Cemetery. Pallbearers: Mike, Mark, Craig, and Josh Parisher, James "Bubba" Ridings, Curt Mitchell, Jason Toporowsky, and Jimmy Parisher. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made for Sherry"s Run (PO Box 8, Lebanon TN 37088) and/or the American Cancer Society (2000 Charlotte Pike, Nashville TN 37203). He was a Manager with Wilson County Motors and Burchett Ford, was Regional Manager of Morrison"s Cafeterias, was co-owner of Concept Builders with son Craig Parisher, was active in the Cherokee Yacht Club where he had many friends, and he earned numerous Medals of Honor, and earned the highest medal bestowed by the government of South Vietnam as a United States Marine.
Survivors include loving wife of 16 years and best friend: Annette Tucker Parisher; 4 children: Mike (Tammy) Parisher of Bone Gap IL, Mark (Charity) Parisher of Watertown TN, Craig (Crystal) Parisher of Mt. Juliet TN, and Carrie (Ben) Doyle of Chicamauga GA; mother: Pearl Parisher of South Mills NC; 11 grandchildren; and sisters: Clara (Larry) Sanderlin and Vera (Edgar Lee) Mitchell, both of Camden County NC; brother: Jimmy (Susan) Parisher of Newport News VA; mother-in-law: Annie Tucker, loving members of the Tucker family, and special friend: Curt Mitchell of Franklin TN. He is preceded in death by father James Parisher, mother of children Barbara Jean Parisher and uncle Kelly Cass.
